The world
has increasingly gone digital, but when designing a product there is still a
need for a physical representation to be made prior to going to production.
This is true of almost every product that is created today, from small,
inexpensive consumer products to expensive medical devices and even large-scale
oil rigs and other buildings.
The product
design process requires that you take this physical step because it’s so
important to be able to see and touch your product before you go through the
final design phase. This allows you to work out any kinks with the product
design or spot issues that might not be evident on a computer and you can even use
a rapid plastic prototype in NY to
get buy-in from people on your team who might be on the fence about some aspect
of the product.
